Logitech Li-ion Battery for Harmony Remote ONE 880 890 720

I bought this for my Harmony 880. The battery is identical to the other one I'm using and it works perfect.

The original battery died after slightly over a year's use. I tried everywhere locally to find a replacement, but it seems that none of the nat'l chains (Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc) keep these batteries in stock. That sux... why sell the remote if you're not going to carry replacement batteries? I turned to Amazon and they were great - they got one out to me within 2 days. Yes - I did have to pay extra in shipping - but I was in a bind.... it was right before the World Cup Soccer finals and we had a student from Madrid living with us. So we got the battery in time to fire up the tv and Spain won the World Cup. Thanks Amazon!

The charging base that came with my Harmony One failed to charge the battery after 2 months. I did a little research and found out this is a common problem. I saw this inexpensive charger on E-Bay that was designed to charge the Harmony battery (plus it came with an extra battery), so I purchased it. This Chineese charger has no instructions, but none are required. Install battery into charger, plug into wall socket, charge several hours, put battery back into Harmony and Harmony works like new. My original Harmony Advanced One remote battery had the bulge of imminent failure. I've read elsewhere that Logitech will replace your bulging battery for free but I didn't want to spend that much time on hold with them. I've had the remote for a couple years already and the battery has had a good enough life. This replacement battery was cheap, came quickly and fits perfectly.

Don't forget to recycle your old batteries at an authorized recycling center.

Works good. The battery came in bulk packaging which is fine, but the shipper did not package it very well and the postal service dinged it up a little.
