It all started when I purchased a front load washer that she hated. My wife complained about the washer not cleaning clothes and leaving a musky smell. She tried several detergents designed for the HE front load washer but nothing could please her. All I heard was complaints about the new machine and was ready to get her old top loader back into the laundry room. I had to do something so I researched and read reviews on detergents. I ordered Tide 2x Ultra Liquid Original Scent. After I ordered it and told me "that is the best detergent I've ever used ...please order more." She continued to tell me why she liked it "fresh smell, cleans better, easy to pour..."

I also must say that it is priced good, free shipping, no more waiting and looking for this product at Mega-Mart, and Amazon's Subscribe and Save program will deliver once a month.

I like the bottle tops (extremely clever design), but other than that, it's Tide. You either like it or you don't. The prices on Amazon aren't always the most competitive for grocery/convenience store items, so shop around to get a sense of the prices in your local stores before springing for this on Amazon.

Tide 2x Ultra Liquid detergent works as advertised. It gets your clothes clean much better that some of the lesser brands. We've been making our own detergent now for about 2 years and I must say it's nice to switch to a quality detergent every now or then to "refresh" our clothes.

I guess If I had to have one complaint it would be the price. There are cheaper brands with the same quality as Tide 2x Ultra.

Pricing is one of the reasons we switched to homemade detergents in the first place.

I think Tide is great however only if you don't over pay for the brand.

We always buy the same type from a warehouse store. It works very well, does what's supposed to do, and the smell is good too. The price is very competitive too if you subscribe. Overall, good buy.
