This is a pretty nice filtered water bottle, the filter inside is pretty big so it won't hold as much water as a normal water bottle this size. The main thing to remember about this is that you're trying to drink water through a filter so you have to work a little more than normal in order to drink the water out of it. Other than that, it's a great water bottle and I use it at work all the time. I don't use this when I work out at the gym though, since i'm already tired, the last thing I need is to work at trying to get a drink of water as well. I'm sure it'll be great for non-exhaustive uses though where your not dying for a drink of water.

My main gripe with this though is that the filter is rated for 100 uses, however there is nothing on the water bottle to use to help keep track of how many times it's been used. Cause of this, you're left to guessing when it's time to replace the filter (btw, anyone know where to find filters for these things? I haven't a clue...).

I purchased this for my son-in-law who travels a lot. He never wants to drink the hotel tap water and purchasing a bottle from the million dollar snack bar in the room is not an option. He really likes having his own filtered bottle and drinks plenty of good filtered water now. I would reccommend this product & purchase again.

I received this bottle for Christmas, and at first I was hestitant to use it because I already have a filter for backpacking that I use to fill up my water bladder. However, this bottle has proved to be quite useful, both on day hikes and during work. I used it when I hiked to the bottom of a canyon with my crew for habitat surveys. I packed extra water, however I never needed it, as I filled my bottle from the stream the entire day. I ended up handing out my other water bottles to people who had run out. It was also great day hiking, and I filled it from a small oozing spring, yet the water tasted great and I didn't get sick.

The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5, is because you have to be patient while drinking, as drinking water through the filter feels a bit like trying to drink a thick milkshake through a straw. As long as you're not trying to gulp water it's fine. A very handy product if you don't want the extra weight of water on your back while hiking, as long as you have somewhere to fill it!

I was disappointed that I was not allowed to return this item. I was not aware there was a filter in this waterbottle and I wanted one I could put ice in. What a waste of $40!
