mystery 4 out of 5

this was fun to play several times, but it got boring and predictable after a while. it didn't change a bit.

3 hours to finish? 2 out of 5

If this game even took 3 hours to finish I'd be surprised. I got the game for free, but can't imagine how bad I'd feel if I had dropped $20 on it. I could see it being worth 5000 Nintendo points or maybe even 8000 ($8) but that is it. The game itself is somewhat interesting, though quite easy too. I played this on a DSI XL, I can't imagine how hard it must be to find objects using the tiny regular DS screen. The ending was aweful and restarted the game from square one. I read a review here where someone was playing through it 3-4 times to get all the scrolls, this game has no replay value since it is heavily text based. I really cannot believe a simple game like this was brought to market at such a high price. A much more challenging puzzle game is Trauma Center which takes about 7 hours to complete but has some replay value plus it's way more interesting.

STUCK ON ONE LEVEL 5 out of 5

I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME. ONLY ONE PROBLEM WHEN I GOT TO THE OLD DISTRICT I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO UNLOCK IT. AFTER YOU FIND ALL THE OBJECTS YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO FIND THE GAME GOES RIGHT TO THE PUZZLE YOU HAVE TO SOLVE. AFTER YOU SOLVE THE PUZZLE THE LEVEL IS COMPLETE. I HAVE STARTED THE GAME 5 TIMES AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO UNLOCK THE OLD DISTRICT I KNOW IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FOUNTAIN BUT I JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO. LIKE I SAID IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES EXCEPT FOR THE OLD DISTRICT. NO CLUES TO HELP.

Way too easy!!! 1 out of 5

I was excited when I purchased this thinking it would be a fun challenge, but I completed the entire game in two days. Way to easy for anyone but the youngest and most inexperienced gamers.

Disappointing... 2 out of 5

I have been searching for more mystery, hidden object games after loving MYSTERY CASE FILES: MILLIONHEIR, which must be the Holy Grail of this type of game, nothing else comes close.

CHRONICLES OF MYSTERY, CURSE OF THE ANCIENT TEMPLE is frustrating, makes little sense, most of the time I am not sure what I should do, so hit the clue just to understand how to proceed. Too much reading, slows the game down so that there is no excitement level.

The mini games are tedious and lack challenge, unless you consider dumb luck of accomplishment challenging.

Anyway, would not recommend unless you are desperate. If anyone out there can recommend something that is closer to the Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, PLEASE DO!!!!!
