Pros: It sharpens well, no broken tips. The Microban is a nice assurance. The eraser is convenient, though a little more precision would be appreciated. Also, mine came in pink and green, so if you're into bright colors like that, go for it.
Cons: Doesn't hold a lot of pencil shavings. Fine for sharpening a pencil or three, but any more and you'll need to empty it. This wouldn't be a big deal by itself as the product isn't meant to be used to sharpen tons of pencils quickly, but it's a pain to open and empty the sharpener. It's virtually impossible for me to open it with my bare fingers; I usually do so through my shirt or pry it apart if a suitable tool is available. Finally, the spinning portion that contains the sharpener and eraser does not lock very tightly; I find that it spins around a lot as I'm sharpening pencils.

Conclusion: If you need a portable sharpener/eraser and aren't concerned with having to pry it apart every few times you sharpen, this is for you.

I bought this to tuck into my Bible case to sharpen my scripture marking pencils while I was in class. The one I got is lime green and pink... It is very cute and easy to use. I like the fact it is Microban because I do loan it out on occasion at church.

The marking pencils I use to color code my Bible are Prismacolor Col-Erase Erasable Colored Pencils, 24-Color Pencil Set.

this is a good pencil sharpener to stick in your travel bag. If you do your crosswords and sudokus in pencil like I do, then this is a good travel accessory. It does a decent job on sharpening pencil without making a mess while you use it.

A great little sharpener. It has an eraser on one side and a sharpener on the other. When not in use, you can spin it around so the sharpener is enclosed. Doesn't hold a lot of shavings, but I didn't really expect it to, considering its size. You empty it by lifting up the piece where you sharpen it and you'll probably need a kitchen knife or something to assist. It's difficult to open without using something to kind of pry it open. Which I find is a good thing because you don't have to worry about it opening up on it's own and getting shavings all over the place. I'd defnitely recommend this especially if you need a sharpener to travel with.

I bought this for my son, for school- figured the microban couldn't hurt, with all the bugs going around. He says its the best sharpener he's ever had... and everyone always wants to borrow it (microban= excellent for sharing!)
