I have an Otterbox case on my phone. It protects the phone from all the times I drop it. Unfortunately this plug is so big and bulky it doesn't plug into my phone with the case on. I have no problems with the small cable that came with the phone. So I have no use for this. Why make such a bulky plug???

For .02 cents I got what I paid for. It does not charge. Extremely hard to remove from iphone. Like the concept of retractable. Just wish it charged.

One I got had the same end as the original iPhone connector into the phone and the other was a touch wider but they work absolutely fie with my iPhone in it's case. Very handy to have several living around ( in purse in car etc)

Really portable and very convenient. I used it with the iPhone 3GS. You can leave it plugged into the AC adapter and extend/retract the cable when needed. Very neat look. Never had a problem with retractable function during 2 month usage.

This is the second one of these that I have ordered from this merchant. Great product, works great and hasn't broken yet (after ~6 months of use). It is very convenient, I use it when traveling along with a compact cigarette lighter adapter plug from Belkin, whole thing retracts to a very small size, can fit in your pocket no problem.
I have a iPhone 3GS, this works great in all the cars and computers I've tried it in (several).
