Editorial Review

Monster Lab is set in an eerie, supernatural world where the evil Baron Mharti rules the region with a cruel hand. The player takes on the role of an apprentice scientist who must perform a vast array of intricate experiments to create your very own monster from over 150 monster parts. Taking control of your monster, the player can then explore the land - searching for ingredients to make more monster parts, hunting out other monsters to defeat in combat, uncovering quests to embark upon or simply competing in the numerous mini-games available.

Campy, Fun Videogame 4 out of 5

I purchased this game because I had received a 10 dollar Amazon gift certificate. It's composed of many mini-games, including battles with other monsters. During the game, you search for parts to use to build more monsters. The theme of the game is inspired by old b-horror movies. Overall, it's a really neat game, especially because Halloween is coming up soon. It might be a little frightening to very young users, but for older kids and adults, it's good, campy fun.

Monster lab is ok 4 out of 5

I was hoping this was for 2 people, but it is an engaging game for one. Maybe it is, as I'm kind of new to Wii and still figuring things out.

Fun for ~10 minutes 3 out of 5

I was so excited to get this game but after ~10 minutes of play I got extremely bored. The monster fights are slow (each monster takes a turn and you have plenty of time to choose your action) and every fight seems the same. Also, there isn't as much freedom in creating your indiviualized monster as there should be - there are only a few choices for body parts/heads/etc. The game is disappointing for this young adult but maybe is appropriate for a young child.

This is a pretty good game especially for $10 4 out of 5

Good game, half fighting/half adventure. The first 30 minutes of the game are pretty much a tutorial on how to play. It really reminds me of Medieval which is an old PS1 game. Same feel. I do recommend it if you like Halloween and monsters.. I love the feel of this game. It has great graphics also.

Wii Monster Lab 5 out of 5

My son (14 yo) loves this game, but he is having a hard time finding anyone to play on line with. His friend code is 4812-8925-5566 if anyone wants to play.
