Best USB/SERIAL device for MAC 5 out of 5
If you need a USB / Serial device for your MAC, this is the one. I am a network engineer and have to attach to serial console ports all the time. The devices you buy at Best Buy and other retailers aren't setup for MAC well. This was each and has worked great. Don't buy anything else.

USB-To-RS232 Adapter 5 out of 5
This is the best USB to RS232 adapter I have used. I purchased it specifically to communicate with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and it works flawlessly in this application, unlike others I have tried.
Fantastic Multi-Platform Support 5 out of 5
I have a few of these now and they are all fantastic! I have used them on both windows and mac OS (tiger, leopard, and snow leopard) for instrument control and they installed in a few minutes. I used python to write some control software and it easily connected to the provided drivers. The plastic case is a little cheap, but the hardware and software is of high quality.
Great for Mac interfacing 5 out of 5
I wasted money and many hours trying to use cheaper ($5-$10) USB-to-RS232 serial adapters to interface an Intel Mac Pro to a 15 year old voltmeter. Nothing worked, so I bought the Keyspan, installed the driver (easy, and well documented), connected it, and had the interface working within 5 minutes. No fuss, no muss, no nonsense. I believe the Keyspan operates with somewhat higher voltages required by many older serial devices, but it should work equally well with newer devices. Don't repeat my mistake. Just spend the extra $20 or so, and have your interface work right the first time.
