Activision Anthology takes you back to the glory days, for old-school arcade action!

This game has the classic Activision games for the Atari 2600 plus a few non-Activision games, most notably Demon Attack. Most of the games I never owned for the Atari, and most of those games aren't much fun and I don't play them except for a couple hidden gems. The controls are a lot easier than the Atari joystick considering we wore out the Atari controllers. The PS2 controller is much more responsive which is nice. It's nice playing these games in color too. You can unlock old commercials when you achieve certain benchmarks in the games. The game has 80s music on a boom box which you can turn on or off, I keep that off because I want to hear the sounds of the games. The music is good but you won't have it on much.

I definitely recommend this game for anyone that owned activision games on the Atari. If you're not into retro gaming, this isn't for you.

I grew up playing games in arcades, and at home on my Atari 5200. I thought buying this game would bring me back to the fun I had as a kid. It didn't. The game itself is fine, however with the upgraded technologies (graphics, sounds, controls) of todays games, these just don't seem fun anymore.

If you owned an Atari 2600 or VCS in the 80s, you played these games. Activision made Atari games and kicked it up a notch in terms of graphics and game play. Practically the whole Activision library is here, and even a couple of Imagic games like Atlantis and Demon Attack. There's over 45 games on this disc, including:

You can unlock various rewards for high scores (like patches and clips of the original commercials for these games) and play the games in different ways other than the standard one. There's something for everyone here. Some cute games like Barnstorming, Dolphin, Oink and Sky Jinks. Some games never released on compilations before, like Beamrider, Decathlon, Robot Tank and Space Shuttle. There's even a game of checkers on here. Hard to believe that games with four bits of memory were once the standard. This collection of games proves that going back in time can be fun. Get this game collection, you'll love it!

All the classic games in here are a blast to play again even in over a decade. Pick this one up if you're an old school of the 80's fan collector. Plus, the disk has tons of unlockable stuff, it even has 80's retro music, how cool is that? Though, I think it should have more 80's songs, but good enough.

All I have are my precious vidoe games with their immortal character such as the unforgettables as Link, Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, Princess Zelda, Toad, Samus, Yuri from Breath of Fire, and Nina, my dark angel also from Breath of Fire. They will NEVER be lost to me and will NEVER leave me!!! LONG LIVE VIDEO GAMES FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!!
