Editorial Review

With a dozen games of his own, Mega Man X's popularity comes close to rivalling even the classic Mega Man series. The original blue bomber's futuristic counterpart has won over fans with his unique gameplay and dynamic designs, and now the artwork of this fan-favorite series is collected for the first time. Mega Man X: Official Complete Works features character designs, box art, promo art, and many rarely seen art pieces. Zero, Sigma, Axl, and all of X's unique robotic animal bosses are packed into this gorgeous collection.

Why to get this artbook. 4 out of 5

This book was very hard to find, but it was so worth the search! The artwork from one of my absolute favorite videogame series made the games that much more enjoyable. This collection covers all titles in the Megaman X series, (X-9, the Megaman X-treme titles, as well as Command Mission) as of September of 2009. I heavily recomend this title to any fan of the Megaman X series, it is very visually pleasing and introduces many of the inner thoughts of the designers, a very interesting perspective on these games to be sure.

Art of Megaman X 5 out of 5

Great artbook. Has images I've never seen both that can't be found on internet. Love Megaman.

From Super nintendo to PS2 5 out of 5

I loved this book. Being a huge fan of megaman and starting the megaman x series from the begininig it brought back so many memories flipping through the pages you see the in depth work and beauty of the character designs. This is a must have for all fans of both series.

Great Mega Man Artwork for fans 4 out of 5

In simple terms: the book covers extensively all the designs of the major reploids and mavericks made with short comments of the illustrators, so it's a nice source for official illustrations and not depending on poor quality scans that are scattered over the web.
However, if you are more into the backstory and concept of the videogames, or details such as the original names of the characters in japanese, this may not be the book for you. It's a fast reading, more visual oriented source of material. For anyone who has always enjoyed the artwork for the X series, this should be a must buy.

Great, but could be more 4 out of 5

Contrary to the Megaman Complete Works, this one focus less in the designers and artists talking about the creation process. It is a shame, it made it a simple artwork book, instead of a history document. A very nice one to be bought with the Megaman Complete Works, but alone is not that great, mas most of it's art can be found in the internet.
Buy it if you are a Megaman fan, buy it if you have or will buy the Megaman book too.
